National online conference 7 December 2022
The cost of living crisis is affecting higher education students, and especially those estranged from parents & families. The HE sector is working hard to find ways to manage student poverty and having access to bursaries, scholarships, hardship funds, etc, is vital to these students. So what are universities doing to help estranged students specifically cope emotionally with the demands of higher education? And what more could, and should, be done to understand and respond to their emotional needs?
