Finance
We offer a specific bursary for estranged students, specifically care leavers, that offers financial support for every year of study. We also recognise estranged students as a priority group for discretionary funding. Students can contact the student finance office at any time to discuss money management
Accommodation
We are able to offer 365 day access to accommodation (albeit the location may change during non-term time due to events hosted at Hartpury throughout the year) We waive the need for a deposit for onsite accommodation for students who are independent and financially challenged.
Mental Health
Students that disclose mental health conditions are contacted by our Learning Support Manager and information can be passed onto academic staff about the needs of independent students. We are developing peer support groups and have a team counsellors on-site.
Outreach
We will continue to promote the support available to estranged students, especially the bursary, via our website and aim to build this information into future outreach activities.
