Finance
Our team can assist estranged students maximise the student finance available to them, as well as provide additional funding through our Stand Alone Bursary, and by make a priority of their hardship fund applications.
Accommodation
365 day University accommodation is available, as well as support with finding alternative local housing. The University identifies and liaises with accommodation providers willing to waive requirements for guarantors and security deposits wherever possible.
Mental Health
We offer free, confidential and independent counselling service, as well as 24/7 support via Big White Wall’s online service. Our academic teams are aware of the services available and are in a position to make effective referrals as appropriate.
Outreach
Our Next Steps 4 Study programme identifies students facing barriers to education, including estranged students, and includes aspiration raising through mentoring schemes, aimed at helping students achieve their potential.
