Finance
Students are supported to access all funding available to them and funding applications are prioritised for Estranged Students. Students can also access money management advice and priority food bank referrals through the Student Advice Centre.
Accommodation
NESCol does not have student accommodation, however we can support students to access accommodation by signposting to external providers.
Mental Health
As part of our whole-College approach to supporting our students each class has a named Academic Tutor who is the first point of contact for all academic, personal and social support. We also provide Learning Support, a Counselling Service and wellbeing support through our Student Advice and Support Team. All students have access to an online Mental Health and Wellbeing Toolkit.
Outreach
We have established a named contact point for estranged students within our Student Advice and Support Team. We aim to continue to improve identification of estranged students and promote the support that is available to students within this group.
