Finance
We offer a range of financial aid for undergraduates and personal circumstances are taken into account when scholarships are awarded. Other financial support such as the Discretionary Fund prioritise those without family financial assistance. We will advise and assist in applications to Student Finance and SAAS.
Accommodation
We will offer university accommodation to estranged students during all years of their study and will continue to ensure that no deposit or guarantor is required for University accommodation for 365 days of the year. We will offer assistance to students seeking private accommodation, including deposits.
Mental Health
We recognise the estranged students may have particular support needs. Estranged students are offered an initial meeting with a Wellbeing Adviser to ensure they have access to appropriate support.
Outreach
We have established a named contact point for estranged students. We will establish processes to inform applicants, offer-holders and current students of the University’s commitment to supporting estranged students and the routes through which they can seek support.
