A dedicated bursary for estranged students.
Accommodation
The university will help students with accommodation needs so they can concentrate on their studies. This may include vacation accommodation, help with basics and an understanding of estrangement by those who provide the accommodation.
Mental Health
The University will facilitate a group for estranged students to share experiences and break isolation.
Outreach
Include easily accessible information for those not supported by their families when working with young people in schools and colleges and in other settings. Information on specialised support available at HE. Work actively with organisations that work with young estranged people to reinforce the message that university is for them.
