Finance
Designated bursary of £1000 per student, plus priority access to the Access to Learning Fund. Our Student Union offers independent financial advice, whilst our Careers Team offer enhanced support for our estranged students, to help them access employment opportunities.
Accommodation
Year-long contracts for estranged students, plus immediate priority accommodation for those who find themselves suddenly homeless. We also waive advance accommodation payments for this group of students, in recognition of the financial difficulties they often face.
Mental Health
Extensive Student Support and Wellbeing Team who provide tailored support for our estranged students, including: access to specialist services such as Mental Health Advisors, Wellbeing Advisors, Counsellors and our Community Safety Team, plus on-demand services such as our ‘Time to Talk’ sessions.
Outreach
Outreach programme to reach estranged students in High Schools and Further Education, raising their aspirations of how well supported they would be in Higher Education. Our team also offer Outreach Mentoring for students, to help them achieve their full potential.
