Finance
We currently offer estranged students a Maintenance Bursary (means-tested), access to BU’s financial support fund and advice from our financial advisers as well as access to campus jobs through MyCareerHub.
Accommodation
Estranged students can apply for a Unite Foundation scholarship. Currently they can access guaranteed 52 weeks accommodation for their first year and we commit to making this available for the full duration of their course by 2020/21.
Mental Health
BU has an allocated point of contact for pastoral support and we aim to develop a buddy scheme (peer support) for estranged students. We are also compiling a wellbeing welcome pack for new students.
Outreach
There is a nominated point of contact to support student’s application and transition to BU and we will be adding information for estranged students to our webpages.
