UNIVERSITY OF KENT

Finance
Our Financial Aid office provides information, advice and support to estranged students on how to apply for funding, associated benefits and independent status. They are also a priority group within the Access to Learning Fund (ALF). We offer a one-off cash bursary of £600 towards the cost of starting at university and one-off payment of £100 towards graduation costs for students who attend their graduation ceremony.

Accommodation
Estranged students are guaranteed University accommodation for 365 days of the year for the entire duration of their course.

Mental Health
Our Student Support and Wellbeing services provide dedicated pastoral support with a named contact who ensures estranged students are aware of internal and external counselling and wellbeing services and how to access them.

Outreach
A dedicated member of staff in our outreach team is available to answer any queries from prospective applicants about the University and the help available for estranged students. We also offer individual visit to the University campus to find out more and meet current students. Information about our support for estranged students will be promoted within our activities for schools and colleges, our open days and on our website.
