Finance

Estranged students are included in the B&FC Access Bursary which is actively promoted to them. Students on the SUCCEED programme are prioritised for and supported through the Hardship Fund application and are offered advice on budgeting.

Accommodation

Support with accommodation is provided by the Careers team.

Mental Health

Allocation of a Higher Education Learning Mentor for one-to-one support. Access to internal counselling and other support and referral to relevant external local agencies for additional support.

Outreach

Estranged students are targeted in outreach work and identified at application stage so that they can be offered support for the duration of their course. Access to the college’s Flying Start and SUCCEED programmes.
