Finance
We have a dedicated contact within the Student Money and Accommodation team who supports applicants and students applying for funding and providing evidence of status and information in print and online for current students. Estranged students also get priority status for the University hardship funds.
Accommodation
We are a Unite Foundation scholarship partner university, giving our estranged students the opportunity to apply for free accommodation throughout their studies.
Mental Health
Estranged students have a named contact within the as a first port of call for any issues at the university who can refer to the appropriate departments. We are looking to have a named contact within the mental counselling service.
Outreach
The Widening Participation team prioritises estranged students for activities, and has a named point of contact for pre-application advice and guidance. Specific information for estranged students is also included in our transition 'Headstart' activities and we are developing our online and print resources.
