Advice and Guidance to estranged students on how to apply for funding available and associated benefits. A £1000 ‘estranged students’ bursary in each year of undergraduate study. Priority consideration for additional financial assistance from the BSU Access fund.
Accommodation
A guarantee of 365 days appropriate accommodation and the opportunity to apply for a Unite Foundation Scholarship Award.
Mental Health
Referral to mental health and wellbeing services by the estranged students point of contact.
Outreach
A named member of staff in student services who will be a point of contact from pre-entry and throughout their course and who will facilitate referral to other services across the university. An allocated peer mentor to help with transition into university. A specific webpage with useful links and contact information.
