CITY OF GLASGOW COLLEGE

Finance

Students are supported to access all funding available to them including welfare benefits. Where students have difficulty in providing evidence of estrangement we will work with them to remove barriers and advocate for them. In addition, we prioritise access to Discretionary Funds for this group of students.

Accommodation

We can support students to access accommodation, within our own Student Accommodation and also externally. We have a comprehensive accommodation guide for students outlining advice and information on local student accommodation providers.

Mental Health

We provide Learning Support, a Counselling Service, personal support through our Student Advisors, a Chaplaincy Service and have a number of health and wellbeing events throughout the year to help reduce stigma and improve our students’ overall wellbeing. Our Students’ Association run a number of sports clubs, both competitive and non-competitive, where students can make new friends and benefit from engagement in sport.

Outreach

We aim to continue to improve identification of estranged students and work with a number of partners including SDS to assist with this.
